The mission of the outreach program is to excite the general public on some of the benefits of insects in the environment through the expansion of science education. The study of insects, with their myriad forms and distribution in the environment both captivate and repel the interests of young students. Using a variety of interactive activities to show students and the public how insects can be a useful scientific tool for studying ecological issues, forensic sciences and for medicinal and other research purposes.
